I am the Visionary-Volunteer Instructor of the proud happy, joyous and alive elderly/disabled computer literacy students. I feel very responsible. In good faith, I kept update with the Florida's Governor Crist appointed representative and was not told that the request for 40-50 personal(used) computers were impossible to acquire from the Florida State Department. Our request for 40-50 personal (state used) computer systems were not impossible to get. It has been done, many times, over, before....As Volunteer Instructor, over 50/disabled, I am in pain and very disappointed that I was misled, perhaps, not purposely, and truly believed that each grad student(senior/disabled) would receive their 1st home computer before/or upon graduation...Now...I am back @ the drawing board, reaching out to my family, friends, and acquaintances, strangers, concerned or American Humanitarians, to help me with acquiring 30-40 personal computer systems for the graduating elderly/disabled Americans before or upon Graduation Day 2009- November 14, 2009. Sure, I pray and hope that Governor Crist HR Commission will realize that the proposal was seriously requested since March, 2009. The process has been ongoing since that beginning, when I received the response email from the Florida Governor's office the name and other contact information of the person that would be working with me to make the proposal happen. Every update from the Governor's rep office kept saying the request for computers was not only possible, it is happening. The only question was "getting the computers to us", said the State Department Representative referred by Governor Crist. Again, help us, seniors and disabled Americans that have, and are continually working to complete their computer Literacy Classes from Basics to advance(Levels 1-17), acquire the personal computer systems, the 30+ graduation students deserve and have earned through hard work and long hours after retirement, to be better consultants and continuing contributors to America's mainstream.
