Congress: Fund President Obama's proposed investments in early education!

The White House wants to make a critically needed investment in early childhood education.

But pre-k opponents are gearing up for a fight over this funding in Congress.

The good news: President Obama's proposed budget makes some substantial investments in early childhood education, a sign that the administration is not shying away from its promises.

The bad news: Pre-k opponents are already using misleading data and half-truths to argue against the funding that would provide children like Sam the opportunities they need to succeed in school.

Winning this budget fight won't be easy. We need your help to ensure the facts about early education get to members of Congress.

Click here to make sure your Representative fully supports the president's key investments in early education!

The president's proposed budget allocates $800 million in grants and incentives for states and local districts to invest in quality early education programs.

But the critics are already out in force, using ideology - and not facts - to attack the president's proposal.

Thankfully, the facts don't lie. Study after study has shown that quality pre-k provides children with a strong start and lasting benefits, and yields a substantial return on our investment.

Let Congress know that a failure to fully fund early education programs would leave us paying the price for this missed opportunity for years!

Because our opponents are doing all they can to stop this funding, after you've sent your message please ask friends, family and others who care about our nation's youngest learners to join you in contacting their members of Congress. The more we speak up about the facts, the greater the impact!

Thanks so much for making sure Congress follows through on these critically needed investments in our young children.

Education is the most important thing we can give our children along with love.  Knowledgeable kids, make knowledgeable adults who are better decision makers and broaden the horizons of those who receive the best in education.  Knowledge reduces the fear of unknowns and allows for difference in all things.
